Ken, I like your idea of stretching the name pool a bit to minimize redundancy and encourage the use of dark horse long-shots (especially for the Open). How about any three (excluding the top five ranking) plus three additional names from outside the top 20. Need five (if too hard, then four) to make the cut then the old running total and winning score as tie-breaker. I realize this may mean more work for you, but the weather's been choppy and semi-regular closings of the Black course may leave you with some extra time <gg>. BV
