I don't think the DOJ is about to change its split proposal for a 3 way split which the judge liked. Just some minor changes to the existing plan. I bet some of the parties are probably going to get concerned that Jackson has a vendetta against Microsoft .---for their successful appeal of his earlier decisions and their insistance the courts will rule in MSFT favor in appeal. That is ticking him off in a big way. Unfortunately (for him), he not any "supreme ruler" who cannot be overruled. His actions today show how much he is against the company and in particular Bill Gates. I bet all the judges at all levels are reading and watching the events and thinking---let me have this case. It is probably a lot easier to reverse this type of decision and everyone at the appeals court can look real smart by showing how stupid Jackson is----What an opportunity! Surely reversing lower court decisions is a lot more fun than upholding them. <g> Even if this one gets straight to the Supreme Court, MSFT's odds have gotten better.
