NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 24, 2000--Andrew Miller, newly
appointed President for the Americas, chinadotcom corporation
(NASDAQ:CHINA), will deliver a keynote address "Charting the Course
for the Internet's Future in the World's Most Populous Country: China"
at The International Network 2000 (TIN2000), Rising Tide Studios
announced today. The conference is devoted to exploring the trends,
issues, and challenges of the global Internet industry, and will be
held May 31 to June 2, 2000, at the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York
City.
Pan-Asian integrated Internet company chinadotcom
(www.corp.china.com) has 1,600 employees and offices across 10 Asia
Pacific countries, including Japan, Korea, Australia, Taiwan,
Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and China.
Miller, an American who has spent 20 years living and working in
Asia, now leads chinadotcom's U.S. operations.
"It's never been quiet in Asia, and that's never been more true
than it is today, with the expansion of Internet services and business
opportunities on so many levels and in so many markets," Miller said.
"They say we live in exciting times, that is an understatement. We are
undergoing a new Internet revolution worldwide, and I am honored and
definitely looking forward to sharing my perceptions and experiences
on such a timely topic."
TIN 2000 conference co-chair Kirin Kalia added, "Asia's Internet
business is rapidly growing, and in fact, 27 percent of the world's
Internet users are expected to come from the Asia-Pacific region by
2005. And chinadotcom will be one of the leaders in the market, which
makes Andrew's position incredibly crucial as American dot-coms make
their Asian expansion plans."
Other featured TIN 2000 speakers from the Asia-Pacific region
include Raymond N. Chang, CEO and co-founder, GigaMedia, a leading
provider of broadband Internet access services and content; Chih
Cheung, CEO and co-founder, HelloAsia.com, a personalized online
network; JaeWoo Chung, CEO and co-founder of Real Post Inc., a

videos; Tim Cook, "man of the coast" for techpacific.com, an

The Crucial Role of Incubators and Venture Capital Firms"; "The
Double-edged American Sword: How to Reconcile Issues of Cultural
Dominance and Difference"; and "Taking the International Plunge: How
to Open an Office Outside Your Home Country."
"By the end of 2000, more than half the world's active Net users
will be from outside the U.S., so we have programmed 20 region and
country-focused discussion groups, called think tanks, that will allow
attendees interested in doing business in a specific region to hear
from native entrepreneurs, VCs, and American executives who have
already expanded their dot-com businesses to that area of the world,"
Kalia said.
