Thread -
My post of 24 hrs ago (which I think can be summarized as "TA people are fruitcakes") has been, understandably categorized as:
- abrasive (it was) - posted in anger (it was) - the result of pain from a recent, terrible decline (it was)
...and so on. It has also been pointed out that this is one of the more lucid, agreeable, provocative and thoughtful public threads that one might ever come across. I agree with those thoughts wholeheartedly.
My post was not to discourage posters who believe in TA mumbo-jumbo from posting, it was just to say that, in my opinion, they are idiots.
I think that my being able to say that here is also part of what this thread is about. Those of us who have been here for three years can recall more battles than one could count on two hands...the Aus versus Craig debacle comes to mind, there have been many others.
In my saying that technical analysis of SNDK at this point is lunacy is not at all a personal attack. It is a cry for reason. I don't care what your damned charts say, SNDK is a screaming steal where it is right now. I have bought on similar dips and have never been dissapointed (indeed, today I got greedy and put in a limit buy at 41 that didn't get filled).
Anyway, I am no purist. While I read this thread every single day, I really don't care if it remains a thoughtful forum or if it goes to seed the way every other thread i have ever come upon seems to do. All I care about is seeing SNDK end this irrational death spiral which bears absolutely no relation to its performance as a company ..... or to any hidden, magic, lost-secrets-of-Fatima statistical crap that some see in charts just as others see blood pour from the eyes of a virgin Mary Jello mold. The poster who later apologized for comparing TA worship and religion should have stuck to his thesis: if, in times of trouble, you turn to something that soothes the mind even though it may be illogical and irrational, you aren't a believer, you're an opportunist.
Back on topic: I defy anyone, technical, value-oriented, long term or short term investor, name your flavor, to come up with a reason that SNDK isn't a good buy right now if you have no need for cash for at least six months.
Beyond deafening silence, I do not expect any negative replies. To argue against this is impossible.
