I would like to thank all you who responded to my cry for help. It is always nice to be able to bounce things off people when under the stress of the moment.

I was unable to view some of your PM responses in time due to my own ignorance of PM operation, having just come out of the lurker closet. Still I thank you all that responded.

I was able to utilize some carry over losses & margin int. from last year together with the sale of some losers this year to minimize the gains of having to sell such low cost QCOM under the pressure of margin calls.
This resulted in my being able to hang on to 3/4 of my original "core" Qcom holdings and my Q leaps along with a covered position in ELON without any significant tax burden.
