And I'm another owner of this stock when most thought "optical" was the glasses department at SEARS, thought DWDM was something in the personal ads, or could even spell Uniphase.

ROTFL!!! So true! I think that makes us charter members in the "fiber rules" club.

I actually owned Uniphase four or five years ago. I'd read about Kalkoven and bought it at 14 (pre any splits) and it then fell to the single digits and when it finally clawed its way back to 14 I was so relieved I sold it. Also sold QCOM at 50 (pre-splits)after hearing Jacobs at an investment conference and thinking capital costs would slow down earnings growth. It's these kinds of mistakes that keep me holding JDSU and SDLI now. :)
