Chairman Files and Serves Defamation Lawsuit On Internet Stock Bashers
MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 24, 2000--(OTC-BB: TVCP). TALK VISUAL CORPORATION Chairman of the Board of Directors Michael J. Zwebner announced today that he filed a defamation lawsuit in the Superior Court of Massachusetts on Monday, May 22, 2000 and that service of the Complaint and Summons was completed today in Los Angeles, California on one of the defendants, Roberto Villasenor. According to the Complaint, Mr. Villasenor has published more than 1400 "filings" on the Raging Bull message boards, using at least two aliases, the_worm06 and el_gusano06. The lawsuit alleges defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and violation of Massachusetts General Laws c.93A arising out of the defendant's use of the Internet to disseminate false and defamatory information.
In addition to service of the Complaint and Summons, the defendant was also served with a Temporary Restraining Order which enjoined Mr. Villasenor "from altering or destroying, disposing of, transmitting, or otherwise permitting to leave his possession, custody or control any document or any information stored on any computer or computer-readable medium that relates to, refers to, concerns, or mentions Michael J. Zwebner, Talk Visual Corporation, Raging Bull, Inc., Leslie L. French, or an individual using the alias `InternetZorro.'" Mr. Zwebner further stated that a number of additional defendants, the real names of whom are currently unknown, will also be served in due course. Talk Visual Corporation has withdrawn the action it previously filed against Mr. Villasenor.
