How will you distinguish the appearance of an explosive bull move from a sucker rally?

I don't know. But I think most of the bears on SI and on CNBC are not real bears, but rather, closet market-timers. If you are a real bear, you should be short in anticipation of a multi-year correction a la Nikkei, or you should get out of financials and into other asset categories. That is a bear I can respect. People sitting on the side pulling a Hamlet ("to bear or not to bear") only to hop on the train when they think they see it leaving the station will lose money in the aggregate. That is the one certainty.
