I believe that you would question this strategy, if your knowledge of what will happen on IP (such as VOIP), and Nortel's position in IP is limited as it sounds.

In Europe, IP is small because populations in EU countries do not own use and own computers and internet(IP) like we do in the US. So your view about IP and/or Nortel's position in IP is understandable.
