very solid and sensible post. There seems little question that HY is brilliant and visionary, but also little question that Gemstar has not exactly excelled at IR or PR. I guess the relatively new GMST investors here (like me) will just have to take the events of the next few weeks and months as a test of whether, down the road, they should give management the generous benefit of the doubt that you do.

On a separate point, I heard a rumor that HY is respected and feared rather than liked by his employees. Not that it matters much, really, but just curious whether you (or Stew) had any thoughts on that...
