What about you? I suppose you have a cash account and as such don't use margin. Are you saying you are not affected by the markets' downturn? How does your portfolio today compare to your portfolio say in March? If your banker asked for your Personal Balance Sheet today in order to negotiate a mortgage for a new home, do you think you stand as good a chance today at securing the loan as opposed to 3 months ago?

I think you are under a misperception. The market for value stocks is not down since March. Tech and spec are way down, but investors in stocks chosen because of fundamentals and price are doing fine. For example, look at the Dodge and Cox Fund, DODGX. It is up significantly from its March lows and even up modestly from the March highs.
