FWIW, news from VTG, a part of the Intel conglomerate:

Thursday May 25, 10:11 am Eastern Time
Company Press Release
VTG and Locus Dialogue Team to Provide Dynamic Call Routing Solution
BUFFALO, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 25, 2000--Voice Technologies Group, Inc., (VTG(TM)) Buffalo, NY, and Locus Dialogue, Inc., Montreal, Canada, have formed a reseller agreement to provide dynamic call routing via Locus Dialogue's Liaison(TM) speech recognition software by ``reading'' digital telephone data. VTG's VoiceBridge 2000(TM) and DSE(TM) cards enable Locus Dialogue's Liaison(TM) solutions to route calls more efficiently and precisely by accessing DNIS and ANI information.

Locus Dialogue was the first speech recognition provider to deliver dynamic call routing to the marketplace. Launched this February, Liaison(TM) software version 5.0 uses VoiceBridge 2000. Liaison(TM) version 5.1, scheduled for release this July, will incorporate VTG's new DSE card to utilize PCI architecture for better integration. Because the API used by VTG seamlessly interfaces to over 80% of installed PBXs, Locus Dialogue can minimize development time, resulting in quicker time to market. Liaison(TM) users realize:

Cost savings because Liaison(TM) reduces the number of DID
lines needed by routing all inward calls through one main

number,

Time savings from more productive workers, and
Better access to people, places and information by enabling
leading-edge speech-recognition applications.

DSE(TM) seamlessly links PC-based voice-processing applications to most major PBXs by bringing all the features of the PBX to the back-office server. It provides 16 ports of digital access to the PBX by emulating most digital display telephones.

``VTG is excited about this relationship because it expands the host of speech-enabled solutions through the enhanced functionality provided by our integration technology,'' notes Ed Dylag VTG's DSE product manager.

``Partnering with VTG has provided us with scalability and decreased development and test cycles. That makes our Liaison(TM) product a more cost-effective and user-friendly tool for our customers,'' notes Richard Martel, vice president of Locus Dialogue's LocusCare(TM) services.
