Charley Mike, Evidently you have not been reading my posts. I have not tried to persuade anyone to accept my beliefs. While I have defended my Faith from unwarranted attacks, I have stated my opinions and have not accused anyone of being wrong. I am not a "fundamentalist" Bible thumper that some of you, of more "tolerant" beliefs seem to fear. If the fact that I believe in God and Jesus Christ, makes you feel uncomfortable, I can not help that. What you, and others, do or do not believe may make me uncomfortable but, I do not initiate any attack, but by the same token, one part of the New Testament that I have not yet been able to abide by, is turning the other cheek. Anybody that strikes me or my beliefs first without provocation, had better duck. Just disagreeing with my views is not justification for attacking them, or me, for believing in them. When someone says they "HATE" the Bible, it stands to reason that they hate me for believing in it. I consider that to be a personal attack. If anyone wants to disagree with the Bible, that is their privilege. But disagreeing and hating are two vastly different things, and hate is not something to be taken lightly. ~H~ |
