according to Thomas Ferraro of Reuters:

Gore drew one of the night's biggest laughs at the expense of one of his top critics, National Rifle Association President Charlton Heston, who portrayed Moses in the movies.

Noting Bush is a longtime friend of the anti-gun control NRA, Gore said, "The last time Moses listened to a bush, the people wandered in the desert for 40 years."

edit: so now Gore knows more than God, assuming of course than Moses should not have listened to God. WOW, what a guy.
