Jim, I visited SGI about a year and a half ago and share your sentiments. I thought I'd see some gee whiz stuff and meet some very animated personalities but left feeling pretty blase and actually bored. They didn't want to field questions and there was a marked lack of excitement. I should have gone with my gut (the stock price was peaking in the 40's)but I religiously stuck it out and got burned. You can't run a high tech company like a steel mill and make it, can you? Your impressions at this critical time, when they really need to light a fire under their staff, are telling. BTW, when I visited, their turnover rate was quite high. Maybe the current employees aren't going anywhere because they literally aren't going anywhere. The good ones have all long since jumped ship. Bill
