If you're asking whether I personally do it that way, the answer is no -- I've got a legacy PC that hasn't totally died yet. When it does, I expect to replace it with a Sun Ultra. In the meantime, I've been careful to buy only peripherals that will work with Unix (i.e. no WinModems, WinPrinters, or stuff like that).

I can only think of a couple of pieces of software that are important to me that require a PC. Most are either available for Unix or have an equivalent that is. Hopefully by the time I get my Ultra the gaps will be filled. Or I'll get one of those cards.
