Don,
That WAS my perception-- it should have been over 30. Without business sense how can they be successful? There are multiple LAN/WAN systems in my district. In addition to approx 1K PCs/laptops on mobile. NOVL products are widely installed and working as designed and promised. The magazine that NOVL publishes gives a great product endorsement as expected plus a lot of help and ideas that show it is a progressive company. Too bad they cannot grow! Company support from novl has been excellant also.
Agreed the current mkt conditions are exaggerating the situation but they put themselves and us in the situation.
Writing Dr Schmidt is not an option for me. As I tell my subordinates (with a smile) stuff flows down hill but I am well aware after floating down hill it floats to the top. In reality everything that goes on in my area of responsibility is MY responsibility and the current situations at novl are HIS responsibility. He failed miserably. This huge failure has effected a wider area than just shareholders. There is nothing I can think of that he could possibly say to rekindle any hope in the stock. My feelings on the products are not effected in any way but there are other questions now.
IMO many will be looking at alternatives for novl in the future. There is no way anyone would change what is installed but future purchases will have much more DD applied. Some - granted not many - will question what others are buying and also wonder if novl will have the support in the future. Other questions will be asked too. Without growth how will R&D be supported? If they are taken over what kind of support can be expected when dealing with those not as familiar with the products and do not have the sweat equity involved? That list goes on. novl will remain the supplier of choice for all those with their products installed but new systems will now have additional questions to be answered.
