I am really glad to know there is people
thinking the way you do.

There are many Americans as well as Europeans that have great respect for China and the Chinese. It is the love for the Chinese that creates frustration with the communist government. This is especially true in America where we are so used to being free, independent and prosperous. Americans can't understand why anyone would put up with a government like that. Europeans probably have more tolerance due to their history of Monarchy rule, which limited their freedoms until the various revolutions.

I think we are at a time when communication is going to allow us to enjoy the best that every Nation has to offer. Just like with restaurants.<gg>

The Chinese ways are different from the American ways but look around America and you see the influence of the Chinese. Martial arts, Chinese Medicine and Herbs, books on the Taoism, Confucianism, Buddhism. The "new" fad Feng Sheuy(s?) in architecture, acupuncture and on and on. Our cultures are different, but as newly weds have discovered, that can be wonderful for both. :}

regards,

Ray
