John, I would venture to guess that your figure is probably correct. The $349.30 (gold) and $389.40 (platinum) were the figures that I heard on the financial channel here in Los Angeles as I was typing my post. I wasn't paying too much attention. Just prior to that, I had gotten $347.60 and $387.00 from the Kitco site. Anyway, both metals seem to have taken a turn and the dollar is weakening. Now if we could just get back to the good old days of 18% inflation, $800oz gold and $48oz silver..........................
'course, the only problem is, I was penniless at the time......
