Implementation
Multi-Faceted Implementation Results in Largest Single-Day Canadian SAP 'Go-Live'
KANATA , Ontario - May 23, 2000 -- Deloitte Consulting and Newbridge Networks marked a
new milestone today with the announcement of the largest single-day SAP R/3 ? go-live
implemented by any Canadian corporation to date. In all, 2600 Newbridgeƒ SAP users
worldwide were simultaneously offered service. In addition, the project was completed within budget and against aggressive deadlines.
Newbridge builds networks for the world's largest telecommunications service providers in more than 100 countries worldwide, and is the
acknowledged market leader in the provision of highly reliable broadband network solutions. The SAP project was initiated as part of a drive
for greater efficiency across all business activities to maintain its competitive advantage. The global implementation was driven by the
need to streamline the supply chain, meet growth goals and integrate databases in all geographies.
The implementation includes the core Supply Chain and Financial modules of SAP R/3 as well as SAP Business Warehouse, the business
information warehousing tool.
