''Anyone happen to notice the TYX (30-year rates) falling with the Dow Industrials today..'''

yep, and as i posted a few days ago, greenie's next interest rate move will be completely opposite of the street's consensus.

tyx had a 3 peaks and a domed house formation into mid january, around the time when "economists were exhuberantely unanimous about the growth of the economy"

this rally in rates is a failed rally, in a disinflationery scenario, just like the bear market rally in the nikkei and failure.

the equity reversal at FOMC and .5 rate hike shows that greenie and fomc is out of touch with the trends in place and the fed has instead of calming a volatile market, added another piece of volitility by stepping up to .5.

barney rubble who was fomc in gork's time, raised 5 quartz stones, made the same mistake, nobody ever learns -g-
