AVNX yesterday fell below the target price where insiders were able to unload shares on those who "listen to the hype." Bet the insiders were happy they don't have to wait three months to go Kaching!!! The companies that IPO-ed too early --- pre-revenue or with only one "paid" vendor --- may just have to pay the piper. I suspect there are quite a few managers sitting around biting their fingernails now that the Sycamore-Williams funding arrangement is being examined more closely. The word's out within the Silicon Valley VC community and for the most part --- at least within the circle I know --- with approval. Higher standards will lead to higher quality offerings and ultimately to more confidence within the equity market. If you want an example of a quality IPO, look at New Focus (NUFO). If other companies waited as long as they did to come pubic, the number of issues would fall precipitately. BTW, did ONI come out? Pat
