Re: The crazy market and MSFT's impact

Jim,

I saw Jack Baruchi (spelling?) on CNBC this morning at 8:30 eastern talking about what is going on in the market. He said they weren't really worried about what the fed was doing, but were really worried about the consequences of the MSFT trial. He was saying there is a big fear among traders of what area of technology the justice department is going to target next. They don't like the idea of the justice department setting presedence with MSFT. He seemed to imply that most of the damage done to the markets was because of this trial.

I'm starting to think all of your fear about this trial was well founded. Baruchi is very well respected and his opinion carries a lot of weight.

If this is true, I can't imagine how bad it would be if Gore got elected. We already know what would happen to any stock related to healthcare because of his national healthcare plan. Now it seems technology would also take a hit.

Just more proof we need Dubya for the sake of the market.
