Re: I dumped everything at 74 1/2. I am very uncomfortable about next week.

Hi Kash,

I had lightened up by about a third, but just started getting back in. Durable goods pretty much collapsed, the savings rate is up, anecdotal talk of the housing market cooling off is starting to show up. We are probably at or near the end of this tightening cycle. Remember that it generally takes 6 months - minimum - for interest rate changes to be reflected in economic activity. Greenspan should be able to hold back the hawks at the next meeting.

We've had reassurances that AMD continues on track (and that Intel is still committed to RAMBUS for Willamette).

Any position has some risks associated with it, but I'd rather be in than out at this point.

(I've got some limit orders that haven't been filled yet, so please ignore the optimism in this message and keep selling - thank you for your cooperation)

:-)

Regards,

Dan
