Del, I'm not making any judgements now but, I have never seen her house, nor do I know the inner thoughts in her mind. That is, basically, true of anyone of us. All of us are, on these threads, nothing more than what we present ourselves to be by our words, and words alone. In most cases, we will never really know one another. I qualify that, because I have formed a few good friendships with some folks I have never seen, other than by photo, because I can feel the sincerity and warmness of them through their words.
What I see as the main problem with the word "hate" or "hatred", is that the newer generations use the word in a totally different manner than my generation did, and it had nothing to do with religious feelings or teachings. In my prime,(if I ever had one)the word hate was almost synonymous with "I could (literally) kill you!!" It now seems obvious that such words are now considered much more lightly in conversation. I should have known. The Americanized English language of today is almost more foreign to me than Spanish, which doesn't seem to change much. ~H~ |
