Things are boring for me today, so I want to take a liberty to offer the theory about current state of market. Since any kind of predictions is not my field of expertise take it more as mental exercise than anything else :)
We can see all kind of guesses about market bottom: 2800, 3000, 3200, 1900 etc. Here is my take on this.
Major redistribution of money has already happened. Some lost big, some gained nicely, some went to cash on different stages of market drop. As financial environment market is ready to turn. But as psychological environment it isn't. Certain time is needed for pain to go away, for confidence to restore, for bad memories to get replaced by new hope and optimistic outlook. So, market turning point is not function of price but function of time. It will turn when sentiments get changed and nobody knows at what point market would be when it happens. Specialist in social psychology would be the best person to ask his opinion about what time would it take for people to switch from frustration to optimism.

For what it worth (probably not much :))
