The G&K ranks have been swelled over the past year with newcomers who have gained an intellectual appreciation for Gorilla gaming but have only had experience with the upsides of long term investing And in this corner of the net, you'll find the lone dumb bastard who gained an intellectual appreciation for Gorilla gaming, but only started investing this year using the methodology, and hence have no experience whatsoever with the upsides of long-term investing. Or the upside of ANY investing. I'm holding on to the Gorillas I've held for three months or less for one of the two reasons: 1) all these old guys, along with the manual, assure me that intellectually and objectively it is the only game in town, and everything will be just fine if I'd only go play some golf OR 2) so that in a few months, when my wife's inheritance and my stock options are ground down to nothing, my quarterly portfolio statement will be all the evidence anyone needs to explain my mysterious disappearance. There's always just pure masochism or utter stupidity to reckon with, too. I'm split as to the reason. buck
