Why don't we know about IPR payment balance for WCDMA? Companies are making deals to deploy WCDMA. Some companies have paid license fees to use QCOM IPR in WCDMA. Has Nokia licensed it's WCDMA IPR to anyone yet? I have to believe that the companies preparing to deliver WCDMA systems have a good idea how the balance of IPR shakes out. Will this issue be solved before DoCoMo rolls out their system next year? I think everyone in the industry knows who has the bulk of essential patents for WCDMA, they just don't want to talk about it.
