I think you assume you know what is the Ericsson definition of W-CDMA - what portion of the overall 3G order is relevant to Qualcomm patents. I wouldn't make that call just yet.

Let's forget Liechtenstein - it's lame, but not as lame as Ericsson's land W-CDMA order (Population: 70 000). That's roughly equal to one block in downtown New York.

Nokia has announced W-CDMA deals with KPN and Viag - this effectively means that Nokia already has one of the German and one of the Dutch 3G deals. It's very likely that at least one French license goes to either a KPN or a Viag partner. Telefonica is Nokia's surest bet in Spain. Nothing much has happened in Europe yet - most of the English deals are still unannounced. Spain should be interesting.

That 3G license is probably a major reason why FT wants Orange so bad; they get to sneak into British 3G market via kitchen door. KPN/NTT-DoCoMo acquisition might be best for Nokia.
