Hi Karen, sorry if it seemed like I was ignoring your posts. I've just been kinda busy lately and I hate to answer thought provoking comments with short quick blurbs. A lot of confusion and misunderstanding seems to arise when I do that.

With regard to the changing of word usage...No that was not done with any real intent. Just leapt out of me as a way of saying the same thing. I don't believe I said "justice does not have a case" regarding kidnapping. I was trying to make the point that if they had a case, I believe they would have arrested someone in the home. You make good points regarding why they may not have arrested someone. And the possibility exists, but I think it's extremely low.

On the other hand, quite a few posters have come to the definite conclusion that a "kidnapping" occurred. Further, they've already (in their mind) convicted the relatives for the offense.

This simply reinforces my belief in the wisdom of our legal system of justice and in the premise of "innocent until proven guilty".

Michael
