Maybe you're operating on a meta level I can't comprehend, or perhaps it's a matter of definition, but the "I don't have beliefs" notion you assert has me scratching my head (of course I occasionally leave people scratching their heads too.)

Seems to me when you react with outrage against a perceived injustice, that outrage is predicated upon some dissonance with a belief you hold. For example, abhorrence of child abuse is predicated on the belief that children should not be abused.

So then I'm left wondering if your definition of "belief" is in the sense of a codified system of beliefs?

Am I barking up the right tree here?

If so, are you positing the notion that your beliefs aren't consistently threaded by some personal moral code--the X Code, for example. And isn't the X Code informed by some basic moral precepts in which your believe? Don't they form a belief system by some definition?

So is your hatred of systems of beliefs directed toward those which aren't your own? Or limited to those you disagree with?

(Don't worry, I'm a pain in my ass too)

Simply: How do you define "belief"?

I'm genuinely curious.
