Drew didn't miss his exit point: there is not "point" at which to get out of a stock like this. Perhaps there was an exit "window" but it was a mile wide and in missing that he is just making up excuses for a bad investment.

Drew's defense is really akin to wanting to go to San Jose from Los Angeles but getting on a bus that everybody knows is going to Tijuana. His logic: maybe everybody is wrong. Meanwhile, he at the tip of the Baja pennisula in Mexico, claiming it's just a matter of time before the bus arrives in San Jose.
