<<In Texas, we say:"Ah lak fokes that clean cementaries >>

My dad and I used to hunt a place that had an abandoned cemetery next to it. Long left to neglect. I took my beagle Skip and started into the cemetery. My dad was walking the pasture next to it. Skip went nuts in a beagle sort of way howling his head off. Then he came running back.

Normally there would be a dozen rabbits in the cemetery but I never saw one plus the dog coming back was odd. I heard 3 shots, followed by another 3 shots. Of course I ran to the fence thinking my dad had nailed 6 rabbits.

Well Pops was running ( he never ran ) toward me shouting he had shot a BIG YELLOW RABBIT THAT WAS CHARGING HIM. Me? I'm thinking stroke here.

It was a tame rabbit that got loose and went wild and my dad was standing next to the brush pile it wanted to go to. Just a memory of my dad that popped up.
