Chic,

I saw Jack Baruchi (spelling?) on CNBC this morning at 8:30 eastern talking about what is going on in the market. He said they weren't really worried about what the fed was doing, but were really worried
about the consequences of the MSFT trial. He was saying there is a big fear among traders of what area of technology the justice department is going to target next.

What a crock. Microsoft is a very special case. ISV's from all over the country have been begging the states to do something about Microsoft for years.

There is absolutely no indication that the Feds are thinking about going after anyone else. The last time this happened was AT&T 20 years ago.

I'm just back from golf with Paul. Paraphrasing Paul, "inflation is caused mostly by energy costs. Raising interest rates will accomplish nothing, except possibly a recession."
