i sold the bulk of my oil stocks already. only have a few MRO left. i also think this is a time to sell them, not buy them.

and yep, i'm pretty optimistic re. the gold miners here...sentiment is very negative right now, and yet people seem to regard them as a hedge against market turmoil.
gold has to catch up with the CRB index. normally it leads it, but not this time. i guess that's due to the price being held in check artificially.
