Ponzi schemes are the oldest form of stock fraud. As old and classic as it is, it is amazing to me that it still works--every day. One reason it is so often prosecuted is that it is easy to prosecute; normally, by the time they surface to authorities, the investors are suffering losses and the house of cards has already come down.
