Ruff -

1. Korea and the annual Government handset subsidy withdrawl.

2. Unicom to ditch CDMA - who really believed anything else.

3. GSM or W-CDMA to win out - predictable due to EU pressure. I'm not very a predicting things generally but htis one I dod predict and have been consistent about for the last two years. I said many times that NOK/Finland would use all their influence to get EU muscle to kill off the Q and they are doing it. So what if CDMA2000 is better who cares. Whoe cares how much extra operators will have to pay. The customers will be the ones to get the inferior service and they will pay more for it. Do you anyone cares about EU consumers having to pay more so that NOK prospers. Give me a break.

They have the full and undivided attention and support of the EU to make GSM THE world standard. CDMA is the Betamax to NOKs VHS. We've lost unless the Q gets the same support from the US government as NOK gets from the EU.

4. Cramer?

5. The market generally.

These it seems to me are some reasons why.

My question is simply this...why is GSM allowed to operate in the US or anywhere in the US spherre of influence while CDMA is barrrd from Europe? And also why is the DoJ attacking MSFT instead of attacking NOK for its activities in attempting to restrict QCOM?

Best regsards,
