There should be three NDSPs according to the Bork Rule.

Hmmm, AT&T was blocked from owning the only two cable NDSP's. That clearly would be anti-competitive to the cable industry.

This is turning into Alice in Wonderland and it is for that Tower of Babel reason that things will break apart into the default: a free market of dog eat dog. It's the only way, but you can imagine that no one wants that.

Baran and Sweezy? Those socialists? They don't know anything about capitalism. Consider:

Business doesn't cooperate at any but the standards level. If they do, they are not-for-profit.

Besides, this isn't a definition of monopoly capital. Monopoly capital? The word "monopoly" can't modify the word "capital". Let's assume that B & S are defining monopoly. Are you implying they mean monopoly is the propensity to cooperate? QED. Can't mean that. What are B & S trying to define?
