Blake, re: Via DDR chip sets.
Crummy weather today so I checked in. Lot's of interesting speculation.
Went back to the DDR summit foils from Via and here's some input.
From the presentation, the VIA APOLLO PRO2000 is sampling this quarter with production next quarter.
The roadmap shows VIA PRO2000 chip sets for Intel P6 and AMD. The chip sets support both PC133/DDR266. (A neat feature, I think).
While it may be true Via now plans to do a Rambus chip set, I have a hard time believing the VIA PRO2000 has been killed less than two weeks after the summit. But I guess stranger things have happened. <g>
