Linda and Bill, I agree completely with you, because even a cursory linguistic analysis reveals multiple inconsistancies in Liz's written speech. The dual spellings of "ladie" and "lady" in different posts. The almost complete lack of helper and auxiliary verbs, with occasional inclusion in places where they are not needed to clarify the meaning. I'm not an expert, but it looks fake to me too.

My wife and I come from Orange County too (Anaheim and Garden Grove), have made a few Vietnamese friends there over the years, and to the person, find them to very polite and well mannered, unlike many O.C. denizens. My wife's mother is half Chinese, and speaks pidgin English, but she does not speak nearly as forced as "Liz" writes. I am not 100% certain she is a phony, but her out-of-the-blue, pointless vulgarity overcomes whatever qualms I might have about roasting her speech in the latest "Rocky and Joelwinkle Show".

BTW, my wife (3/4 Hawaiian, 1/4 Chinese) has no problems with my roasting "Liz". She knows I am an equal opportunity roaster. I'll keep it clean and (except for "shorts" puns) mostly tasteful. If any of you decent people (bears included) think "this time he's gone too far, I'm offended", do let me know and I will reflect and apologize. As for the indecent people, well, they are my target, and I am not running for the office of Miss Manners.

The biggest sin an off-the-topic-post can have is to be not funny.
