It's the attitude of the Clinton administration. They keep calling for more laws even though there are enough on the books that if they were enforced would keep guns away from more criminals. It's the idea when they pass another new law they can crow about solving the problem. Interesting thing I saw today on an outdoor program hosted by a lawyer on why federal gun laws aren't being prosecuted. The laws might go to the Supreme Court and be overturned. In all the case law before the Supreme Court there has never been a 2nd Amendment case.
