Article: The July 2000 issue of Technology Investor has an informative article on network-attached storage. It's on pages 42 - 45. I went to the website, technologyinvesting.com, but could not find the article. The title of the article is What To Do with All the Data? Try Network-attached Storage. The article describes the following issues: 1) the history of NAS vs. SAN 2) definitions & comparisons of NAS vs SAN 3) the benefits of both NAS & SAN 4) explanation of the 2 NAS segments: departmental segment, and the enterprise segment I strongly recommend the article to anyone who needs a primer on the basics, the opportunities, the players, and the industry demands.
