Wolff: Tony gave us the "how to send direct info"...but apparently there were errors in it...when some sent money that way, it was returned.

That is why Richard Miller suggested (in good faith, surely!!), and Matt Tyson set up an account to aggregate the donations and send them. (For those suspicious of Tony....I don't think he came up with this idea...it was Richard and Matt...and Matt surely asked Tony...but it is not as if Tony planned it.)

People donated in several ways:
some wired money directly to the places Tony advised
some mailed money
some sent donations to Matt (for aggregation, matching and sending to MT organization)

Tony matched the donations however they were sent.
I assume someone at MT kept track, and had Tony send his matching donations over??
The actual timing was:
requests for donations on the 20th, and I think Matt set up the donation account April 23rd.

Later ...there was a whole dogfight between Scanshift and Tony as to what actually happened over in Kosovo.

Also...I think there might have been a separate thread set up specifically to deal with the whole Kosovo...

so ....the truly bored...can just read it all.

I am still amazed that only $14K was received by Tony (or half that...since his receipt was for $14K and he matched our donations...)..I think the big donations must have already gone over via wire....before Matt set up the account...and I have no idea of how Tony matched those.
