Michael, I've enjoyed our interchanges as well. I hope you stick around for the resolution of the Elian saga. I like this thread, even when it's off topic. There are some interesting people here. Yes, the thread has gotten a little silly at times, but it tends to right itself.

I have no clue about what opinion you're referencing. My previous post to you had no opinion in it. I went back and reread all my posts to you to be sure; nowhere in any of them did I offer my opinion on Elian. You're right, we do disagree, but you will not find that disagreement in any of my posts to you.
My posts to you have all been about the quality of debate on this matter, not the matter itself. I haven't been trying to change your mind about the disposition of Elian, only to help you improve the quality of your arguments. If you had told me to take my gratuitous coaching and shove it, I could understand that. What I can't understand is your framing our discussions as a debate on the issues.
I look forward to seeing a logical, rational, coherent argument for keeping Elian here, one that's based solely on facts and reasonable assumptions. When I see it, I will switch into advocacy mode and debate the issues. In the meantime, I pick at some of the more egregious illogic that posters try to pass off as arguments.
Again, I hope you stick around or at least check back later after the latest round of dust has settled.
