I'm not sure if anyone can help me(I've been told by some that I'm beyond help!), but I hope so.

Here's the problem:

I bought Metastock 7.0 (my first purchase of charting software)and received it the other day. After that I shopped for a data provider and settled on QP2. I have figured out how to download the data from QP2 and have done so. My problem is that I can't seem to get the "Export to Metastock" function to work properly. When I am doing it, all the messages seem to indicate that the operation is going smoothly, but when I close QP2 and open Metastock and call for one of the symbols, the chart screen comes up without a chart, which tells me it doesn't have any data to chart!

I would try to use the Downloader that came with Metastock to directly populate the program, but it seems to only want to allow me to use one of the four data providers they have approved.

Normally I would call one(or both) of the companies, but this being a Holiday week-end, I don't expect to get much help there.

If anyone can help, I surely would appreciate it...the instruction manuals are pretty murky to me.

I don't know whether I have to create a separate download file somewhere or what.

TIA for any help!
