Pete -- you are correct -- the dot.coms that never did and never will make a dime caused quite a sensation. Do not yet bury them all but most will be gone of one means or another. Look at AOL coming off the Inut only model and merging, AND they makr money.
My trades have usually done well. Even in this melt down I am very slightly in the black for the year. But I own some strange stuff in this tech age like GE & HNZ.
MSFT may well be a great buy. I plan on getting back in but not until it goes much lower and some of the lawsuit stink blows away. CSCO was fun but glad I am not holding it now, same with AOL.
NOVL for just the reasons you mentioned will remain roadkill for a long time. It is at a point now where it is worthless -- meaning not worth buying and not worth selling although I expect it to continue downward for awhile. The product base has nothing to do with it or the next new release could propel them upward. The problem is the mgmt staff and no changes have been made there. The BoD has nothing to say and mgnt has only blown a little hot air as is their normal procedures. Good luck on 19 in the forseeable future as I have doubts.
<<""hack out of the jungle"" I spent to years doing that in the '60s and do not wish to do it again at my age.
