O/T My impression is that most folks on this thread will not mess with trading stocks options. Regardless, I do want to share one aspect on selling covered calls that I now understand well that could apply to people who do not want to sell stocks and get hit with taxes in their taxable brokerage accounts. Other than using puts, one can sell deep in the money covered calls when greed is high on the stock and or the market as a whole. Downside protection can be big e.g. 30% or more.

Enough of my thoughts on cc's. I will save any discussion of cc's from here on for Poet & Jill's option thread and V's Porch thread.
