... the only .bat file i've ever created was the one you shared with us recently, i think you called it cleanup.bat. i have it on my desktop and run it fairly regularly. i wonder, could you show me how to put those registry restore commands into a .bat file?

btw, with cleanup1.bat, when i run it, delete appears to work fine, but the dos window says that only temp is created and not cookies or temp int files. is that normal? these files just regenerate on their own, correct? also, after the erase c:win386.swp command, i see an 'access denied' line in the dos window. does that mean that the swap file was not erased?
