I will repeat myself....strategically, if you need upticks... shouldn't you just stay quiet...and let the market buy it up?? Isn't it counter-intuitive to say you post here...so you can short it on the uptick?? The negative posts...should cause more shorting or selling, eh?
When I was on the site....virtually every pick went onto the public boards, if that has changed...I am impressed.
It was irksome to some to pay...and then see it all onto public domains. ...glad that has changed!
I really wondered at the time...why that was so....but figured Tony just had this urge to "go on record" or wanted more members....even though he said he wanted to keep the numbers small??
I understand you have "the right" to post your negative opinions...but if you truly believed in them...then why would you need to post it? Wouldn't it make more sense...as an investment strategy, to just sit...and short on each uptick....?? I mean, heck...if it is a scam...it should fall...once the "dumber folks" figure it out.
Why do you need SI followers? Don't the picks "fall on their own"? I know the site.....has no trouble finding members via word of mouth...so that can't be the reason for SI "chest beating"...
I have no problem with egos...I kinda like spunky men...who are fond of themselves...lol..
But ya know, beyond egos...maybe what bothers people is the rudely attacking of people...out of arrogance calling them greedy, "dumb money" etc....which can be a bit much, don't you think?
I always thought the private site...could be really classy...and take the high road...but, guess that just wasn't to be.... "growing pains" maybe?

Mary, honestly think about this for a bit. There is an uptick rule. It sucks for us because if we want to short a stock we have to do it while it is going up, at least in order to build a decent position. I bring this up here though to say, that if we were trying to SHORT the stock down to help us, well that just will not work. After the first downtick, no one can short it again unless it upticks. Actually only a percentage of the stuff we are in actually makes it here. I think we have a right to post our negative opinions and the fact that we are backing it up with real positions. Sometimes these posts carry weight, sometimes they dont.
Some picks are good for SI, if we are short it then I am sure that it helps our SI followers to be configent and hold their positions.
And yes, Tony has an ego.:) And so do I. |
