Starting up the thread again. I spoke with Marion in Investor Relations a couple of days ago. She said that their NAB orders were double what they were last year. However, she reminded me that the street didn't expect them to show a profit in their next earnings release (approximately July 30th), and that in their conference call they said they didn't think they would return to profitability until the next quarter after that.

Knowing that NAB orders are a large chunk of their business, wouldn't you think a DOUBLING of orders for this year would at least yield a small profit? Considering Avid's volume growth in the past, this would seem pretty likely.

I asked Marion if shipments from NAB orders would be included in this quarter's results. She said yes, but she couldn't say what percentage, that some would be in this quarter and some in the next.

I'm still on the sidelines waiting for a turnaround in profits before I re-invest in Avid. Haven't decided yet whether I'll get in before the next earnings release or wait until the following quarter. Any thoughts?
